Carol is our office manager. Her
winning personality and compassion will make you feel at home from the time you
set foot in our office. Formal training as a nurse allows Carol to anticipate
your needs and the type of appointment you will require. She will assist you in
your intake information, answer general questions about office function,
schedule your follow-up appointments, and support you in the evaluation and
treatment process. |

Agnes is our office assistant.
Formally trained in China as an ear-nose-throat surgeon, Agnes is highly skilled
medically and also provides assistance in getting you settled in the diagnostic
suite, treatment room, wax removal room, as well as assisting in general office
duties. She often provides support in the first fitting of patient’s hearing
aids, reviewing the audiologist’s recommendations in order to provide
repetition, the key to learning a new skill such as adapting to a hearing
device. |

Jennifer Bates Gadoua, Au.D.
recently completed her doctoral degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa,
Arizona. Ms. Gadoua has been under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. Berge for
over 6 years working in her clinic prior to starting doctoral training and
during school breaks, becoming more involved as her skills have developed. She
has completed numerous clinical rotations throughout the U.S. with sites
including University of Kentucky Medical Center, and private practices / medical
centers throughout the greater Phoenix area. She has been fortunate to train in
Canada under the direction of Dr. Jerry Halik, M.D., a |
| world-renowned otologist
in middle ear reconstruction and diseases at Markham-Stouffville Hospital. Her
areas of interest include pediatric audiology, auditory perception and neural
networks, advanced diagnostic testing, and advances in amplification. |

Dr. Brenda E. Berge, Au.D. has been in private
practice at Berge Hearing Clinic for 5 of the 9 years of practice in Guelph,
Ontario. She was the first Canadian, and one of the first dozen professionals in
the world to have had the Doctor of Audiology degree conferred, hers awarded in
December of 1997. Her clinical residencies included the Mayo Clinic, in
Rochester, Minnesota, The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland,
and Dartmouth University, NH. The neuro-audiology fellowship at

| New Hampshire under the direction of the
worlds leading expert in neuroanatomy and auditory perception, Dr. Frank Musiek,
Ph.D. was pursued and completed in 1995. Dr. Berge's areas of interest include effects of neural
degeneration and auditory plasticity, and effects on auditory perception,
advanced diagnostics, complex case management of rare syndromes, aural
rehabilitation, and amplification. Brenda has a textbook chapter on the anatomy
and physiology of neural plasticity of the auditory nervous system. She has had
a position as adjunct professor at Salus University in Pennsylvania (formerly
called Pennsylvania College of Optometry - School of Audiology) since it's
programs inception in 2000. She has acted as a mentor for students training in
the Doctor of Audiology programs, and a clinical rotation site for doctoral
students from both Pennsylvania from Salus University and A.T. Still University,
in Arizona, and she lectures internationally on various topics.
Dr. Berge was formally trained in Largo, Florida with
world leading expert Dr. Richard Gans with the American Institute of Balance for
vestibular/balance diagnosis, care, management and therapy. The current training
credential she is pursuing is on the topic of tinnitus, specifically the
neurophysiological model of treatment as published by Dr. Pawel Jastreboff in
relation to Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (commonly referred to as TRT), from the
Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Center in Georgia.
